Slow day so im on a rant.
So ....im sitting in my back yard in Prescott AZ and we are having a Midwest thunderstorm.
Lightning...heavy rain and the loudest fricking thunder ive heard in a long time.
I immediately though holy crap..God is Shaking down the Thunder today.
Then it hit me..
I think that verse and some video of a thunder and lightning storm transitioning into our lads taking the field would be awesome, or when its the opponents 3rd down and we need our fans to yell their ass off and stand up. It wouldn't hurt if we all started chanting..shake down the thunder.
Especially if we had the speakers on full volume capturing the thunder .
Im excited about the tron and all the great clips we can show.
Especially ( and hopefully) in lieu of the boring " can we please have your attention to the 50 yard line" while we introduce the 1955 parking lot attendants.
Anything to energize the crowd and take the stadium back from those who think they're at an opera ( DOWN IN FRONT!!!)
1. Someone probably has thunder copyrighted, at least that what the audio- visual giants at ND probably think and they are afraid to pay royalties
2. it makes too much sense and the audio-visual giants at ND want to think outside the box and enhance our experience
3. They will be figuring out (heck they probably already have) how they can get Tim McCarthy jokes "live" on the board (for those of you how might be skeptical, I will be waiting for your apologies after Temple.)
In the end, why would we go in any other direction than Ozzie?
Look, other than those that think football should still be played in leather helmets and see the board as an abomination, the biggest fear is that the boneheads that run ND have no idea how to run a video board -- heck they have never gotten the knack for the effective public address much beyond 1975 caliber and dated football scores, you know the ones everyone in the crowd has known for 45 minutes -- and that we will get subjected to honoring those invaluable parking lot attendants, our esteemed academic staff and numerous other public address announcements in grand and glorious HD ad nauseum. And huge visuals of "MAKE SOME NOISE!" flashing in living color........
We know we will never see close calls (including the headhunting that seems okay by an ACC team playing ND) that might put those fine ACC refs ill-at-ease.
