19-19 Represent the number of trips and scores by Notre Dame in the red zone this year. It remained perfect against Michigan State by scoring four touchdowns all four times it penetrated the Spartans’ 20-yard line. The Irish were tied for No. 1 nationally in that department entering the game, but especially impressive is that 17 of the 19 scores have been touchdowns. The Irish were 6-for-6 a week earlier at Boston College, with all of them touchdowns. (Credit to Blue and Gold Illustrated.)
On a related subject, some posters on that other site are disappointed that Michigan State gave the game to Notre Dame. They say that the turnovers mask the fact that Kelly was out-coached by Dantonio again.

Even though we were up 35-10 and we gave up a chunk on yards on their final two drives.
It is indicative of the type of football nirvana they are chasing. If we aren't up 35-0 at half, and have given up no 1st downs with 2nd team starting the 2nd half, what's the point of winning.
They openly pine for the team to lose.

The game being comfortable.
the story is different. When an observer points out that ND out gained their opponent, had more first downs, won time of possession, etc but lost you will hear "stats are for losers." (I.E. ND outgaining South Florida 500-250 in a loss). It is amazing the lengths that they will go to support their narrative. Pretty sad.
