If we don't get into the EZ on the play before the half, the clock runs out and we trail by 7 at the half. The halfback pass Navy ran at the end, could have easily gone for a TD. I am happy we got the win, but if we keep playing these type of games we will lose a bunch of them for sure. We beat that team 43 times in a row! Now its a nail biter every time. It's just terrible.
Instead they got cute and opened with 3 straight passes in the redzone...just look at the damn navy front 7....just pound it with DEXTER WILLIAMS. What a joke that play calling was

An ugly W could have had a serious negative impact on ND...but that was all mooted the week before.
After you've left college and are married. ND made the plays when needed. Navy played a hell of a game..,,,

Nonsense. Other than th HB pass ND made plays when they had to. A struggle for sure but not lucky.
Yes indeed.
option offense. They now beat a lot of good teams.
when you turn the ball over a bunch, St. Mary of the Woods would be a formidable opponent. Turnovers and blunders are always cringe-worthy activities that the Irish delve into at some pretty inappropriate times....and they cannot happen if one plans to win a NC. Finke's fumble put the Irish behind the 8-ball. No surprise there. Navy, as Coach N has stated every year he has played ND, must play a perfect game void of turnovers and blunders (i.e. personal fouls, false starts, holding in the red zone, uncovered receivers, etc.). The did pretty much that until the final 6 minutes or so when they threw two interceptions that cost them the game. Until then, their running attack, the nation's best, gave them the upper hand. When both teams can score at will, it is all about blunders....and that includes coaching blunders.
They had already lost 3 games when we played them yesterday; please try to stop making excuses all the time
There are teams that handle their offense and control it. Also, by now, you would think ND would have the perfect blueprint to handle Navy. They play them every year for Pete's sake.
Yup..

100 yards fewer than #14 UCF allowed them, just as a point of reference. "Handling" Navy's offense wasn't the really issue this week.
ND needs to return to power option football.
Our effort against Miami vice that of Virginia.
