but I'm all for anyone who can consistently catch the balls they are supposed to catch (and make a few great catches on top of it).
With all the fretting about how bad Wimbush looks, folks are forgetting that he made a ton of great throws last year. Many of which ended up as drops.
It takes 2 to make a completion and the WR's last year were just as much at fault as BW. So gimmee anyone that can catch the balls that a D1 receiver should make, every time.
Like Kiser the year before, St. Brown had his eyes on the NFL before the season started.
Glad to hear Aaron Rodgers is ripping St Brown a new ass. Greatness doesn't happen in one's head,
it happens on the field of play.
Robertson is listing himself as ND WR and Kelly hasn't talked about him at rover for a couple of weeks.
It didn't help that Brandon Wimbush couldn't see the wide-open WR3 and WR4, not to mention the TE as well, and the fact that he threw a lot of passes that got his WR's clobbered on a regular basis, made it worse. Then when the yips came about, he couldn't complete a wide-open 5 yard pass to keep a drive going.
I don't blame St. Brown for leaving early. He almost had his neck snapped on one pass that was thrown way too high, and ended up with several helmets crashing into his torso on many other pass attempts.
He played a good bit of wide receiver in high school, and showed an ability to get open. I don't know how his route running and hands are, but some recruiting services had him listed as an "athlete" who could have played any of the WR or DB positions.
I'm just a bit surprised, given the play at the safety position last year, that he wasn't able to seize the opportunity.
