90 percent of the time Wimbush throws the ball, the receiver is blanketed. I've always been puzzled why this is. Maybe one of you guys who played football can answer this.
I say that even knowing this offense is sooo slow developing that by the time the routes seem open, Wimbush has DL sniffing his ass.
There is no quick and no misdirection/counter in this offense.

Cllaypool is a great athlete who has only been playing football for a short time. Boykin has a hard time beating anybody straight up the field. Mack cannot consistently catch the ball. Right now our only receiver with a receiver's sense is Finke. Maybe number 87 has it but he is just starting to get time. Austin supposedly will get it. In the NFL they say wide receiver is the hardest position to pick up the first year. Maybe it is that way from high school to college too. I am not sure just speculating. Also for those of you bad mouthing Tony Jones Jr., let me say I told you so. This last sentence is not for you Mark.

There were players running open all day in the short passing game but Wimbush doesn't check down and locks on a receiver.
