First, ND has won all three games with a spotty offensive performance and better than average defense. Can it get worse, possibly, but it can also improve
Wake Forest on the road is a win. They are not very good and ND has the better athletes, steady progress but close game
Stanford, under the lights ND should be up for the game and should win a close one to make the team 5-0
Va Tech will be tough but even with a loss in a close game ND stays in top 10 because Va Tech will remain one of the top teams in the country
As for the rest - Pitt, FSU, and USC all home games and likely a win. Two road games NW and Cuse are also likely wins
So the team sits at 11-1 only lost on the road to a top 10 Va Tech team and ND stays in the final four. Where upon they will get the beat down that will likely be administered by Bama as being number 1 playing number 4. Just hope it's not tOSU at 1. It will remind us all that ND can be good but is not close to winning a National Championship in today's environment. For some that's enough, not me. I just like to win.
Thank you for your attention.
1. Conversation is way to early but it is a message board so let’s have some fun
2. Irish have alot of work to do quickly in the next 2 weeks before Stanford and VA Tech
3. We cannot overlook this weekend, first road game with a team that runs a hurry up offense and dinks and dunks and put up 37 points against us last year at home. Extremely frustrating and will use ball control two key factors that are obvious: ND needs to get off the field and hold to FGs because WF will move the ball. We need TDs on offense and preferably quick scores in 1st half and long drives in 2nd half. I know not asking to much.
4. I will preference this that it will be controversial, Irish could go 11-1 and maybe even 12-0 and SOS may still not be good enough for CFP. I never thought I would ever say ND would run the gauntlet and not make the playoffs but this may be the year. SOS is very poor and no one knew how bad FSU, Michigan or even USC is this year. Also not guaranteed that Stanford will be PAC 10 champ or VA Tech the ACC Champ. Not having a Conference championship game might also finally catch up to us.
5. Again Notre Dame will need to improve drastically over the next two weeks and as in every championship season needs some breaks to go their way, especially at VA Tech. 11-1 and 12-0 is very possible, whether or not it produces a CFP birth we will see.

You see us being kept out at 12-0?
I agree that if ND makes the playoff, they will likely get a beat down unless they can figure themselves out.

a battle... USC even while not very good, is never an automatic in LA..
With the officiating out there ND is already behind by 8 pts.
