C.J. Prosise and now Jafar Armstrong and Avery Davis: not one of them was a RB in high school or recruited to be a RB at ND and yet Denson turns them into more than competent RBs. If only he could recruit to the level he coaches.... He's like a bizarro Tony Alford.

it’s only a matter of time before he lands a truly elite RB.

especially considering the vast quantities of RB talent that were squandered before his time at RB coach.

If there was no early NFL leaves, expulsions, or suspensions, our running back stable this year COULD be Adams, Williams, Jones, McIntosh, Holmes, Smith and Flemister. That would be a very sound group that Denson acquired. That fact he lost so much so fast and could still fill in with Armstrong and Davis is a tribute to his coaching. Somebody wrote on his supposed lack of recruiting ability and a lot of people picked up on it. Sorry don't agree this assessment.
Adams [247Sports Composite ranking: Overall 305, RB 26] , Williams [94, 11], Jones [325, 14], McIntosh [778, 48], Holmes [245, 19 ], Smith [611, 26] and Flemister [1202, 68]
And the Bama running back from Michigan a few years ago that I believe currently play for the Saints won the Heisman Trophy
He was a two star recruit I believe
Well said.....Adams barely made an NFL team
Josh Adams was in the Heisman discussion before he got injured about 2/3 of the way to the season last year
He barely made an NFL team....that is all that matters
ND is a far cry from Running Back U
