It is weird, because BK can put up a good game against a number of other good coaches, including for ex Harbaugh. But we keep losing to a Stanford team that in talent is roughly comparable to us. I don't know another explanation.

You could ask, why is it Navy does so well against ND in the Kelly era, too.
You could ask, why would Kelly have a QB throw more passes in Clemson game during a hurricane, too.
We are not their "Super Bowl" a la Purdue or Navy, in which they play above their heads.
They are 77-22 under Shaw. They're 5-2 against us under Shaw. So, a slightly better winning % against the overall schedule than against a Top 20 program, which is what you would expect.
Stanford has been a top 10/15 program in the Shaw era.
