I always liked NDGAL, she just listed all of the upsets at home over Kelly's career. Ok fair enough, but why? Naturally the board jumped on her post like piranhas. That's what I would ask if I still was apart of the board. I just can't understand the negativity. After seeing the early poll this year on their board where a high % of posters would rather see ND lose so they could fire Kelly did it. I can't believe these are ND fans. The hatred for Kelly overrules their love for ND. Not acceptable. I will no longer even go to the site. I go to all sites looking for ND info, hard to get it here. It's not worth my blood pressure going up anymore. I am not a ND alumnus, I am not Catholic, but watched the ND highlight show since the early 70's before Sunday School every Sunday, and have been a fan ever since. No, I do not contribute to the alumni fund, so I do not express opinions about the University policies. However I do send the band money every year(still can't understand why the band is not at every away game) regardless I just can't believe the negativity that has encompassed that board, it was not like that when I joined many years ago.
I realize this board has it's share, and that's ok, but thank goodness it has some balance to it. If I haven't thanked the Board Ops for their articles lately, Thank you!! They are always informative, unbiased, and well written. I retire from Coaching and teaching in May 2020. My dream then is to attend a home game. I hope I can meet some of the posters on the board. So before anyone speaks, I will not mention NDNation again. Just don't understand. My love for ND is greater than any coach.
Go Irish!!!!
First, let me say that I was booted off that board for not agreeing with the party line. I came back here, where I first posted about the time this site began.
The ND Nation site has several fine boards other than football. I've really enjoyed the two basketball boards, and they even have one that includes Track and Field.
The football board is certainly overly and consistently negative. It hurts them to see a Kelly team ever win. However, they do love Notre Dame and her football team. It's just that the whole atmosphere there has been poisoned by one loudmouth poster, ACross. The rest are sycophants who try to earn his blessing by being negative about everything. It's gotten so bad that you get hooted off if you say anything positive. I'm critical of Kelly and the program when I think they deserve it, but I don' t go as far as that board generally does.
They have a large number of posters, even after having lost so many. Some of them are quite knowledgeable about football and the program. A few of the posters, such as Bruno and the site administrators, are quite enjoyable.
I still check that site for news and good links. I can't post there any longer, and I'm better off when I don't post here, either, since I have nothing to offer but unsupported opinion. I wish I could quit this habit altogether, but I've been reading these boards for at least 15 years. I'm a '72 grad and a third generation Domer.
Yes, there are some aspects of the overall board where opinions contrary to the board doctrine aren't really in play.
But no, that doesn't make up for the general smugness that permeates the board especially the self serving tripe that comes from board ops particularly as they frequently defend protecting their minions who repeatedly violate their published rules with, for example, minor one week banishment while they blacklist trivial first offenders completely or relegate to the minor boards forever. The "reason" I was booted off their main board wasn't even among their board rules but because I basically challenging on their protected class who claimed something to be true when he couldn't have possibly know it to be true. It was his opinion(which was totally in line with board orthodoxy of course), I politely called him on that, next day I was gone. In the meantime, several posters (the most noted one included) routinely, on almost weekly basis over numerous years, violate their board rules 10,11,12 with impunity because they agree with the board orthodoxy. Occasionally they get "grounded" but, like favored kids, are always welcomed back into the fold because, after all, they agree with them.
Hey, they can run their board anyway they like. But anyone who spends any time surfing the internet boards knows what they have become, which is basically akin to the MSNBC of the ND world. Their hypocritical problem is the board has posted "rules" which are applied any way they chose hence making them only useful as an excuse to "censor" their board. They continue to claim the high ground even though they lost it a long time ago.

....as one of several posters here who have a child in the band right now, I can tell you that I am very happy that they have at least a few weekends off the catch up on school work. They need their time as students.

The guys who run that board are Holtz era peopl but they have lots of Ara folks commenting there.
This site seems younger.
seems they talk about more recent times or players.

TRue ND fans dont act like that..I hope you get to ND, I fortunately do Every year, and have never, ever met a fan from that board, or for that board..Take the trip, you'll love it..The fans are great, the antithesis of ND Nation...and true ND fans, no negativity whatsoever in that stadium..
As for her, her panties are always in a bunch...but if ND ever wins the national title, she'll be the first on the bandwagon..
The have a decent links to other articles section. I go there from time to time to browse that. I haven't looked at their boards in years.

The group think on Rock's House is overwhelming. People fall over themselves trying to make sure everyone knows that they hate Brian Kelly. So even after a win, there will be comments about how badly he coached. That said, the people on that board really know ND Football. They are just blinded by their expectation of what they think ND should be, and the reality of what ND can be.
I have no love for Brian Kelly, but he's the best coach since Holtz, and the second best coach in something like 40 years. I'm not ready to roll the dice on whatever the PTB pick next.
Most of those guys and gals were virgins until they wed, so that explains a lot.
