The loss of Bars is looming large right now. Book was under duress the entire game and the run game was non-existent. 72 (Hainsey) was humiliated for the better part of the afternoon.

It was straight up bad. They looked lost half the time. Like they didn't know who they were supposed to block. Eichenberg wasn't much better, but I'm used to it from him by now.
losses ahead.
I would also think about mixing in Winbush a little at QB to give a run option.
He had Happy feet early for no real reason. He had a pocket but because his first read wasn't there he was panicking. The first but sack on the first possession was 100% on him.
When Pitt started brining blitzes they were baiting him. They picked something up in film. Getting him to read the wrong hot route pre snap. Then having the pressure come from the other side.
They adjusted in the second half. It's hard to believe but ND only had 4 "real" possessions in the 2nd half. They scored TD's on two and drove to the Pitt 25 on the other before an interception.
knew we were throwing it every down, do people really not get this? It makes any pass defense significantly better if they know you are throwing it every down.
Book being under duress so much and the run game being so non-existent, are both the result of the very same stupidity...one dimensional pass happy play calling. Our opening drive was like a replica of the 2nd quarter at VaTech and we used that as the template for nearly this entire game.
Until Kelly 1.0 crawls back in his hole, this team is fooked!
