Navy. 2-4, Irish have no excuses this year. Double digit win?
Northwestern 3-3. Dangerous team gave Michigan all they wanted, also beat up Mich st, (but also lost to Akron), currently in first place in the big ten west
Florida state 3-3, play them at home in November again we have no excuses and are the better team, playing them after they get NC state and Clemson will help Irish
I like the Irish big @home in this one
Syracuse. 4-2. Will be a tough game..... very capable team, lost to Pitt and barely to Clemson,
USC. 4-2. This will most likely be an 8-3 team, could argue this is the toughest game left and it is in LA
It appears the remaining games are better than the media are advertising, only team with losing record is navy which will be our easiest opponent.
......USC, Syracuse, and northwestern will all be away from home and capable of an upset unless we continue to improve, I like our matchup with footlocker in November in south bend.
16-14
Only two have winning records
None are ranked
But yeah, tough schedule to finish out
Part that makes me nervous is we have only played 2 home games
Just because Pitt played us tough doesnt make them good.....it reflects poorly on us.
That being said we should be 12-0 in six weeks.....if LSU keeps winning might be tough to keep them out
They have to win out against Alabama, A&M and probably Georgia (who they beat once) or Florida (who they lost to) . I doubt they get past Alabama.
Clemson has to beat NC State, Florida State and probably Miami or possibly Virginia Tech.
Ohio State has to beat Michigan and who knows in the Big 10 Championship.
I would say LSU has the toughest path and ND or Clemson the easiest path. I actually think it would be a long shot for both LSU and an 11-1 Alabama to make the playoffs.
Of course ND has control only over their own games and it looks right now to be quite a long shot for them to get in with 1 loss and a high probability they get in at 12-0.
