Link: Where does Wimbush transfer?
50% more completions
22% higher completion rate
50% more yards
50% more TDs
This notion that his rushing yards make up for what he lost in his accurate passing is asinine. Incompletions stop the clock, stall drives, and or worse you turn it over.
Nice try whoever wrote that article...#clickbait

Book has been a more accurate passer.
I would like to see Kelly get Wimbush back involved in the offense somehow. I’m not suggesting a two platoon QB situation but he does need to get some meaningful playing time in the right situations.
the NFL and only would get looked at by lower echelon D1 schools as a QB. Malik was too stubborn to make the right decision. It might be different for Wimbush.
So if he wants to be a college QB, then good for him. I suspect he will transfer to continue playing QB, which as we saw last year could work in a run-heavy offense.
doesn't mind getting hit, and he is a good runner.

He's got one year to learn how to be a WR. It is unlikely for him to get significant playing time at a new position at a new school to really learn the position. You're dreaming if you think he is going to get any playing time as WR at ND. We are pretty much loaded at the position next year. About the only possible position he might be able to master in a short time is H-Back but he would need to learn how to block also.
Josh Adams is far better at his position and he is a marginal NFL player. Wimbush, unfortunately, isn't even that.

Completion %
Wimbush 52.7%
Book 70.1%
That opens the door for so much more in the offense, keeps our offense on the field, gives our D a breather. It's huge.

Wimbush's completions frequently required acrobatic catches, which left receivers unable to gain yards after the catch. Wimbush hit a couple of long throws that included long runs, but I think that skews his YAC numbers.
Good point....
