My sister and a couple of friends are headed to Garth on Friday. They are staying at a hotel in Granger. She is asking if there are a couple of fun / lively places where they can have a couple cocktails and some light dinner fare before the concert. Any good ideas? I’ve heard of a place called Bruno’s but know nothing about it. Thanks in advance.
they have TV’s to watch it live.

A lot of the old crowd here remembers the old hole in the wall Macri's Deli, where you could get some tasty sandwiches.
They now have Villa Macri, which is a full fledged Italian restaurant / bar, and still have all of the old menu that Macri's Deli had. My wife and I went to there during Ball State weekend, since it was right next to the Holiday Inn express where we were staying.
She enjoyed the seafood alfredo dish, and said it was absolutely loaded with shrimp, scallops, etc.
Of course, I had to have one of their Old Chicago subs, just for old time's sake, and it was just as good as it was all of those decades ago.
Regarding Bruno's, they do have excellent pizza. The crust is a thicker crust that has its own unique flavor to it, and the pizzas are quite large and filling. If I recall correctly, though, the only alcoholic beverages available are beer and wine.

In Downtown South Bend there's Fiddler's Hearth.
Don't know much out by Granger. There's a Bar Louie out that way by the mall and Rocky River Tap and Table for craft beer, but I haven't been to either.

You will have to fight your way to the bar

The Crooked Ewe just past downtown has good food and good craft-brewed beer.
I think their idea of cocktails is just a beer. If they are wanting a place to eat and get cocktails near the stadium on Saturday before the concert there are places but I have no idea how crowded they will be- the concert is sold out and will be a big production for later TV broadcast, so I have no idea what the crowds will be like looking for a pre concert meal. Sorry can’t really help beyond that.
