Link: Notre Dame Football is Headed Back to Ireland in 2020!
ND needs to decide if they are in the running for football championships or enriching someone's tourist business. Such overseas jaunts are disruptive of the team's training schedule. Kelly has already spoken against this before. Does the AD want to win games or just make money from sideline events like tourism and Armor-all uniforms? How many recruits will this attract in the old Sod?
A strong argument can be made that this game benefits Notre Dame's training schedule.
I have multiple friends who went last time and said it was an amazing experience. And isn't that what things like this should be about? Giving alumni/fans experiences like that?
If you find a negative in this game, you will find a negative in anything Notre Dame does.

2012 was the greatest vacation our family has ever had . We stayed at a B&B near Bunratty castle, Rented A-Car and toured the entire island. Then spent three days in Scotland in three days and London. My son even bought a kilt, much of the dismay of his wife 😂
Will you be taking the family to Beirut?
