Both suffered season ending injuries early this year.
One is a top five draft pick. The other was a probable Day 2 selection, even before his injury.
One left his team, dis-enrolled from school and moved away so he could focus on the draft.
The other had already graduated, and.....well, I'll let Brian Kelly tell it:
“Alex is around us all the time. He’s in our meetings. He travels with us. Extremely active,” Kelly said. “He’s on the field. He’s with the linemen, taking special care and attention with [sophomore offensive lineman Aaron] Banks in terms of trying to do as much of passing on any of the knowledge that he has in between the coaching. He’s extremely active in what we’re doing."
Nick Bosa and Alex Bars.
Two things: 1) Bosa's injury was not season ending (he could have been back this month if he wanted to) and 2) Bars even if he wanted to could not de-enroll from school to focus on the draft because he hurt his knee and wouldn't be able to do the physical training. Who knows what he would have done if he suffered the same injury as Bosa.
Bosa was projected to possibly return in Dec, giving him minimal time to prepare for a potential bowl game. He was never going to return in Nov.
As for Bars, of course he was free to leave school, particularly given that he's already graduated.

I’m betting that if you had to choose though, you would have more of a problem with Bars and his actions than Bosa because it doesn’t fit your narrative regarding Kelly and his program.
Puke.
