We will win the game if we win the turnover battle. They did play great vs Clemson but could not hold a big lead in the second half because they couldn't move the ball vs a very good Clemson D. Clemson's back up QB played well but their D won the game. Syracuse was able to rush the QB very well even with a three man rush (recording 2 sacks) which was impressive. Eichenberg will have his hands full. They can score points averaging 44 per game albeit vs a weak schedule. Their QB can run and must be contained. I can't see any reason for the team to take Syracuse lightly so expect a real fight. If you are a wagerer, take the 10 points (given our propensity to take a foot off the gas at the end of games).

In this case, Syracuse has thus far played teams that tend to turn the ball over a lot.

Syracuse sits well statistically on TO margin partly because they had 5 takeaways in their first two games against Western Michigan and the laughably scheduled opponent Wagner (they are bad even by Northeast Conference standards). That said, Syracuse has done a good job this season creating takeaways throughout the season. Better than ND has, for sure.
PS: and Syracuse has been very good at take away.

I live upstate, I know the truth.
Lawrence got knocked out late in the first half, so Brice played more than half the game. He was 7-13 for 83 yards. No TDs - 1 INT. He did convert a critical 4th down late, so I do give him credit. But he wasn’t doing much otherwise. Bryant had left the team, and Clemson was basically playing with their third-string QB.
