Better than the running game.
This is the best Notre Dame team since 1993 or maybe 1989. Kelly deserves a lot of credit no matter what they say on that other board.
Is Sawbrick running a uniform company (read UnderArmor), a travel agency (lets go to Ireland agin) or a circus?

Comapred to all the other Shamrock Series unis these were far and away the best and a nice change
That game was very good for ND football and the ND brand.
That was a statement game for Notre Dame football; watch the tone on the talking head shows now. There are now four legitimate CFP playoff teams.
It was a more classic ND green jersey look, with the gold numbers. And I loved the texturing thing they did with the helmets. Thought it would have been better without the shamrock even. Pictured.
The ones this year looked okay to me . . . better than I thought they would. Better than most of the Shamrock Series uniforms. Probably on par for me with the ones worn against Purdue a couple of years ago . . . with the ND logo on the helmet.
If the helmet had just been textured gold ideally, or even just navy blue with the leprechaun, they would have been cool. The split-image helmet just looked ridiculous to me, though.

The Notre Dame uniforms are iconic with their gold helmets and gold pants. If ND wants to occasionally switch from blue to green jerseys - no problem.
Having said that, the "baseball" uniforms used today were not as bad as I feared. They were unique and kinda cool. If I were a school who had bland uniforms that they change the design on every other year, I would seriously consider copying the uniforms that ND used today. But not for Notre Dame.
BUT I was pleasantly surprised...after hearing all the "unis are terrible" here and other boards, I thought they looked great..And playing in Yankees stadium , and honoring that tradition with the pinstripes was just fine..ND has a great tradition in NYC and Yankee Stadium, honor it..

No kidding
Kraemer and Hainsey get worked every other snap. I understand as a 2nd year player Hainsey is still developing physically, but this is his second year starting.
I missed the game, but watched a chunk of it on DVR last night. And highlights. I might have missed some bad plays. But from what I saw, I didn't think Kraemer played too bad. I know he's been playing hurt, so maybe that has something to do with him not excelling more. I'd note that overall, the OL the past two weeks surrendered only two total sacks (both yesterday) to teams that are pretty good at getting after the QB. This OL wasn't going to be great this season after losing Nelson and McG. And then Bars. But I think they are improving. Don't get me wrong . . . they are the most worrisome aspect of the team moving toward the playoff.

The performance of the team was awesome though.
