Scores against same team, Clemson was lucky to beat Cuse at home, ND dominated them. The eye test, ND is playing better defense. ND beat the number 4 and 12th ranked team. ND beat two teams, Pitt and NW in their conference title games. Clemson's resume isn't close. Not that it matters.

Just like you would have called for his head again with a November swoon, I'm pleasantly surprised and happy for the players with the reverse
matters since #4 will likely meet Alabama in playoff in 1st rd. Therefore the chance to the final is much lower.
They almost always rank thier teams in same order as ESPN's SOR ranking...if going by that we should be #1, but I don't think we are the best team and I know they won't rank us number 1 and I don't blame them, just making the point 'their eyeball test' is the number one deciding factor, that and conference bias/ ties.

enjoying itself.
I have likely been an ND fan longer than 75% of the people on this board. I am savoring every moment of this but am not some asshole homer who has pie in the sky bullshit thoughts every minute of the day. I revise my thinking in this manner:
We play Alabama 10 times and they win 7/10
We play Clemson 10 times and they win 6/10
We play Michigan 10 times and we beat them 7/10
The win over Syracuse was impressive. Very impressive.
We are not the #2 team.
That's exactly what I told you two weeks ago and I was a kool aide drinker
by what they did to Syracuse
Before that what was there to be impressed about?
Very nervous about USC....they hate us and will want to stop our undefeated season
Expect a tough battle in Los Angeles.....
We can easily play with Clemson now and I think we have a chance against Alabama
My opinion of the strength of the team isnt static.....we had been fairly unimpressive up until Saturday....we had the lowest margin of victory of any of the top ten teams prior to Saturday but just killed the #12 team

We should be #2, and it's really not close.
