I have watched them on tv several times. We can run the ball all over them. And once we do that we can throw all over them. We will score 50+. They are not any good whatsoever.. They have a Freshman QB we can blitz the heck out of. I am not sure why everybody is worried. If we show up, they are in trouble. They have nothing up front on either Dline or Oline. You can pay your house off taking ND -10.

And looking through 247 recruiting rankings for the last five cycles, both USC and FSU landed a bunch of 4/5 stars. They are rough equivalents on that front.

History will not give them fortitude in the face of adversity, IMO.
needs to be taken very seriously or we will lose.
I highly doubt BK and the coaches are telling the players to take USC lightly.

There really is no way to know how they will perform come Saturday.

The ND side of the field was FAR MORE sold out than the Trojan side. Now, that could mean the Trojans are holding on to their tickets (?), but I thought that was a good sign. There were decent seats available in the $150-300 range. I got what I think/hope were very solid seats 27 rows off the field at around the 25 yard line, for $200 each. BTW, I had to buy 4, but only have 3 people going. If someone is interested in our 4th, you can have it for what I bought it for :)

I think the Irish fans will drown them out!

You need talent, fortitude and motivation to have a championship season.
You only need talent and motivation to win a single game. They will have that.

Just to annoy them more.
It's hard to imagine how they suddenly restore any swagger get their sh*t together... especially at the QB position.
And the loss to UCLA, their primary rival, sort of contradicts the thought that they'll magically get it together against ND.
With this team I would actually be less concerned if USC was solid, because it's all about IF we show up, IF we decide to run the ball instead of air it out early.
IF we jump on them early, they will likely fold up as you said, but IF we dick the dog early and let them hang around and start remembering how bad they hate us, it could turn into a game.
Personally, I hope we 'Syracuse' them early and get to spend the whole second half celebrating and arguing over which playoff seed we should be...
USC led 14-3 at Texas...but Texas scored 34 straight and won.
USC led 14-0 vs. Utah...but Utah scored 34 straight and won.
USC led 14-0 vs. Cal at the half...but Cal scored 15 straight and won.
USC came from 24-7 down to lead ASU 28-24...but ASU scored 14 straight and won.
USC came from 14-3 down to lead UCLA 27-21 going into the 4th...but UCLA scored the final 13 and won.
If Notre Dame doesn't play its worst game of the season, it wins. USC has started fast or come back with a flurry of points and each time it has meant jack squat because they aren't good.
we're in. My only concern is if they are hot early because of a few dynamic offensive players, but we are very consistently good so I think we will score about 42 on them.
If we play bad, we could lose.
especially if it's a team that is considered to be weak but has a lot of talent...ie, I wasn't concerned about Syracuse at all because I knew we'd be up for them...but I was a little concerned about FSU because as bad as they are this year it would be easy to not be all the way up for them. They, like USC have the talent to make you pay if you take them lightly.
Just want to point out we started fast in pretty much every game in 2016. They gotta play good football, which they have been doing, because they are very good.
Because we had Uncle Rico.

For example, we started pretty shitty against Navy but it didn't matter. Give a team as talented as USC some momentum and it may not turn out well.
First play was a fumble, we stopped them on downs, we went down and scored. Then they went three and out, and we went down and scored. It was 13-0 eight minutes into the game.
You could say we started fast against Va Tech, and then we gave them back the momentum allowing a score right before halftime making it 17-16, then we blew them out by 22.
My point isn't we have to start fast to win. We absolutely don't. But, it's always the goal to start fast. The game can start any number of ways, and I personally don't care about USC's feelings as to whether they believe or not. If Notre Dame plays consistently well, no matter the breaks, they'll win the game rather easily.
I'm still cursing Kelly's name late in the 4th. lol
