....please state your case here. It will make it easier to ridicule you if you're all in one place.
I won't name names but you know who you are.
Assume OK and Ohio State will move to the 5-6 spots, but maybe not in that order. Georgia is now 4 and beats Alabama (probably not going to happen, BUT) Ohio State demolishes Northwestern and Oklahoma beats Texas on a neutral site. All that happening, if ND is the 4 team going into all that then:
Georgia #2
Clemson #1
Alabama #3
That leaves the possibility of either Oklahoma or OSU jumping to #4 after their conference wins.
Oklahoma's "13th data point" is Florida Atlantic AND they played Army (who is good), but struggled to win OT. They lost to Texas. They allowed 40 to everyone the back half of the season and had wins of 5, 1, and 3 in 3 of their last 4 games. Oklahoma is pretty, but pretty and deserving are different.
Ohio State played Oregon State, TCU, and Tulane out of conference. They have a 30 point road loss on their resume along with a close 5 point win over Nebraska (no different than ND over Pitt), and allowed 51 to Maryland squeezing that out in OT. Sure...for one week they looked like "Ohio State", but ND under Book has looked like that since Week 4 AND they beat FSU at home with their backup QB by 30.
Additionally, Alabama and Ohio State have BOTH made the playoffs with only "12 data points" AND both had a loss getting there. I have no worry about ND being jumped by any of these teams that have a loss attached to their record.
Ahead of Georgia. The question is who gets the 4th spot (Bama, OSU or OK)

Easily see a GA defeat of Alabama and a huge win either by OSU or OU leaving ND in 5th. Just remember, the committee is picking who they believe are the 4 best teams. I’m not saying ND doesn’t deserve a selection, but it’s not up to me.
And exactly who ARE these people who make these decisions? This system doesn't seem any better than having sports writers decide the rankings. If you look at Alabama's schedule it ridiculous how many patsy teams they play, yet these people making the rankings are always giving them first place in the rankings with a soft strength of schedule. Nothing fair or unbiased about it!
It's really not difficult to google the composition of the CFP selection committee.
Assuming 'Bama beats UGA, the only question is who gets the 4 slot. Likely OSU, if they beat NW. If NW, beats OSU . . . it's OU, if OU beats Texas. If OSU and OU lose, it's CFU. If UGA beats Bama, it gets interesting. But ND will be in regardless.
