They say ND's payouts is on par with the $26mil the average ACC member gets, but the NBC contract and the playoff/PR payouts alone are $26mil. That doesn't include the other money they say is included in the conference payouts - "... include television and sponsorship revenue, and other conference-generated revenue above and beyond bowl receipts" - and according to the article ND gets an ACC payout of $5.8mil as a partial member (so now we're at $31mil). Who knows what ND generates on their own for television and sponsorship, but I bet it is significant enough to be "on par" with the SEC team payouts (if not more). Actually, I'd be severely disappointed if ND was on par with the SEC payouts and didn't bring in more than $10mil in other television and sponsorship money.
The ND NBC contract is reported to be worth $15M/year. The longstanding myth that ND is independent due to money needs to die.
Edit: For reference, each Big 12 member gets $36.5M/yr.

Football revenue certainly makes up most of that figure. Mens BB is the only other revenue sport and pales in comparison, revenue-wise. I don't know the breakdown.
