Plus 10 tackles (5 solo).
Every down player for them, fulfilling his football destiny. It's been great to see.
Smith is the best college player I have ever watched in person, and I have seen a lot. He was even better at his, position that Quentin Nelson was at his.

I D'2nt know who that could have been, do you?
he'll have to improve a lot to last in the NFL....15 CARRIES, 28 yds, last week, 11 carries 21 yds this week...that will not get it done..And he's coughed up the football at key times, saved by instant replay in Jags game..and Eagles announcers were bemoaning the fact all day today that he's just not effective on 3rd or 4th and 1..Slow on that first step
Birds will have to go and get a RB this yr, or hopefully resign Jay Ajayi...Josh can be 2nd or 3rd in a "committee" situation, but BIrds need a bellcow RB..
He was cutting on a dime very well on a non grass turf field.
Eagles season ticket holder here,...watch every minute of every game, sorry he's not..Eagles famed announcer Merrill Reese, was bemoaning all afternoon, Josh cant make 3rd or 4th and 1, he's too slow off the ball, and has no moves when first handed the ball..EAGLES beat writer, Ruben Frank, wrote last night, RB has to be off season priority, Josh isn't the answer..
So with all due respect, I realize you're impressed with yourself, Im going with Merrill, Ruben and my own two eyes
And if that isn't enough, coughing up the ball 3 times in crunch time, will not make it in the NFL...
Merry Christmas!
Rueben Frank has been high on Adams all season. Josh has done well. Better than some on this site thought he could. Yeah, . . the Eagles likely will look for RB help in draft. Sproles is done, and other than Adams they have nobody. You guys are being overly negative here. Save the pats on the back for yourselves as prognosticators until Josh actually fails. You know you will if he does. I hope you’ll mea culpa if he doesn’t.
Wendell Smallwood, Corey Clement, Josh Adams are not every down backs...Its clear to me the Eagles need to make RB, a big off season priority" Reuben Frank, December 23, 2018
The Birds just played their two biggest games of season, elimination games, Josh 49 yds, 26 carries, less that 2 yds per carry
You guys are the ultimate homers..I evaluate all guys equally, and objectively, especially when IM giving the team a good chunk of change for season tickets..All these guys are third stringers, the Birds had two top RBs last yr, 1 and 1A, Blount left in FA, Ajayi got injured, they were left with a trio of 3rd stringers..changes must be made next yr..C'mon now..
Homerism tends to influence a lot of thinking around here.
I said he wouldn't get drafted.
He wasn't.
I said he would end up on the taxi squad.
He did.
So , it seems, I was right on target.
And I'll say he will be out of the nfl within 2 years.
Merry Christmas!
Be real, you didn't think he'd start for an NFL team in his rookie year. A team making a playoff run. You tout his draft position, you know he was hurt and couldn't work out. You know that. You wanted him to move to tight end for goodness sakes.
He's played well. He's starting. You didn't think he would. It'd be better to admit that, and that perhaps you misjudged his ability to play in the NFL.
I also said he won’t make it

That has depleted running backs
He won’t do much beyond this season
Everyone is entitled to an opinion especially a correct one

I am not referring to you personally, and I’m not going back to look up what you posted before. But what you posted here about Adams is way off. Yes, the NFL shared your initial assessment, but that doesn’t make you look better. You were wrong. The NFL essentially admitted their mistake since Adams is starting now, but you have not.
I'll respond to you because I generally like the tone and approach of your posts.
Whatever posts I made were his draftability into the NFL and generally in reaction to the fawning folks who thought he was a Day 2 pick. Extrapolating "he won't get drafted" to "he won't play" in the NFL is just plain disingenuous. I never said he wouldn't make it in the NFL, nor did I imply that be saying he wouldn't be drafted. If you, or anyone, wants to stretch that into anyone's own invented lie, is their prerogative.
Many FA's make have long term success in the NFL. That fact that he is starting doesn't mean that the NFL was wrong in it's assessment but more due to the injuries that occurred at RB for the Eagles than a testament to his "success" as an NFL player. It is an accomplishment to be working at any level at the highest tier in one's profession. He has had a chance to show off the skills he has and we will see how, and if, he develops into more than what he is now because anyone who thinks he has "earned" his role by demonstration of his long term NFL skills, as opposed to being in the right spot at the right time, is just a fan boy. He plays because he stuck to it and worked for it. There are many in the NFL who that has happened to.
At the same time, I wouldn't be shocked if he isn't even on this team next year depending on the injury/contract status of the Eagles running back next year. But look for them to draft a RB in the 1st three rounds next year. Spin that comment anyway you want.
And Merry Christmas!
You argued he wasn't an NFL player and now you sound like whiny little girl trying to weasel your way out of it.
Proof me wrong! Prove that you aren't simply inventing your own narrative.
The worst I said was that he wouldn't be drafted because he doesn't have any identifiable high value skills to a pro team. And I did say he was taxi squad material. That is hardly saying he wasn't an NFL player. And he won't last long in the NFL as an RB with what he has shown thus far.
I wasn't wrong in what I posted, was I?

Brandon Brooks is going to the Pro Bowl, Lane Johnson as good as there is at RT...Kelce not as good as last year but still a very effective center...HOFer Peters, aging and oft injured, but still started every game..and had his moments c'mon now..
Yes, that is saying he's not NFL material and you know this.
I get your schtick and it became tiresome a long time ago. Some schticks here are not. Yours is.
You won't quote me because it doesn't support your false narrative.
So we all know what your schtick is.
Right, you weren't saying he was not NFL material. After all, you qualified it by saying, "identifiable high quality skills," whatever that word salad means in your brain. As opposed to making it to the league based upon "low quality skills?"
And Adams rushed for 500 yards this year on the "taxi squad?" Do you even remember what the taxi squad was?
