Hard to beat teams that have NFL ready players at every position no matter the Grade. They both have incredible depth and the next guy up is even better then the starter sometimes. Both Coaches Run the program like its the NFL. They both get multiple 5 star players at every position and they make football the main priority. Until ND makes football the top priority we will continue to be dominated on the big stage by overpowering teams that are slightly under NFL Teams.
Really good talent, some really good seasons, but disappointing in big games. Hell, they were turned into a Verb.
Unfortunately, ND can't do the things Bama does, no one outside the SEC really can. But ND, if it continues to keep the foundation strong and build upon it, can create a Clemson like culture. ND isn't 15+ players away from Clemson. A few alphas and a handful of depth guys away from being on par.
In regards to Bama, the hope has to be that LSU, Florida, Tenn, A&M all continue to ascend enough to steal from the Bama/UGA pipeline to spread the wealth of the top end guys.
for admitting we aren't 15+ guys off from Clemson. Some rationale thought.
Players know if they go to Alabama they have a much more higher likelihood of making it to the NFL than anywhere else
The coaching is far superior, the intra squad competition is far higher, they do everything better.
I will not comment on the extra-curricular at Alabama or any other SEC school; I know it is a favorite past time of this board to use that as an ongoing excuse for their success and our lack of it.
Cause after all everyone at an SEC school is on steroids, is taking basketweaving 101, doesnt graduate and is basically a plague on society. And after all anyone from below the Mason Dixon line is a hick, a moron, a hillbilly, and only watches college football. No one has a job, and we all voted for Trump.
recruiting ranking for the last 5 years virtually identical to ours?

Make that 18 fives stars since 2015. How does that grab you?

5 stars 2018:
Trevor Lawrence
Xavier Thomas
KJ Henry
Jackson Carman
Derion Hendrick
5 stars 2017:
Tee Higgins
Damn, they even got a 5 star QB who transferred in Hunter Johnson. That's 2 five star QB's in 2 years.
5 stars 2016:
Dexter Lawrence
I could go on and on but I hope that by now, you get his point.
two of the best college QBs you will see in a long time. So don't be silly and think Clemson has not recruited near the top. Plus all the other 5 stars you named. Those guys are blind if they don't see the difference makers Clemson has.
That is a minimum of 44.....little different than 18 doncha think?
Once again on average our average recruiting rankings are virtually identical

Is ignore the recruiting rankings and only look at the five star rankings?
