Both plays were about coaching.
Coaching CB Terrell on how to play confidently and trust his eyes and he jumped an easy pass for a pick six. Had not much to do about his foot speed or agility...or something that no ND DB doesnt have but really how he was coached to use the talent he has. Troy Pride Jr could have been in the same position but isn't coached to play that way. He would've been 10yds away from the play waiting for the Bama WR to catch the ball and he'd make a tackle
Jeudy blows by a safety as would eany elite WR vs a safety. Same thing that happened to Gilman and Tranquill vs Clemson because a S shouldnt be left alone vs a WR. That is a coaching blunder because though the Safeties in all those plays bit on moves that they should've stay back on but...Corners are use to seeing that move and probably don't get duped as bad and probably recover much quicker.
So again...not a talent issue at ND...it's coaching. Coaching technique and attitude.

These two teams aren’t better because of coaching or talent alone.
USC or any of the schools folks think ND doest have the talent of...
ND turns them into students. You think either of these programs have kids in Accounting or Finance or Mgmt Info Systems classes?

Tee Higgins size and speed is put more on display than Claypool. Yet many have noted how impressive an athlete Claypool is. It's not athletes ND lacks. Tee Higgins a better athlete than Eq St. Brown was?? Nope

Tell me what the average ranking was for Clemson and ND over those past years...
Then...Actually look the athlete and how the athlete is USED.
That is what's not close.
ND would be down by 21 at this point don’t you see that?
The coaches are putting they're athletes in position to USE THEIR TALENT. Not read and react or sit and wait...or dink n dunk.
The rankings do matter because most of you all call for ND getting 5 star players yet it's not that...it's how a player is used.

Sorry...ND's coach doesn't instill that kind of confidence in his players...
