demanding 3 of 4 home games(what an ahole)...they play this yr, last yr of a 4 yr deal....THey now think its OSU, someone has to tell that to OSU, who obviously point to the "boys up north" every yr..Ped St is just anotheR Big 10 game to OSU, who also has a "little" rivalry going with MSU..

Pitt and WVU also wrecked their rivalry

I suppose ND vs Sparty could be considered another rivalry down the drain. But things change. I never really understood the ND-Michigan “rivalry” because ND didn’t play those barbaric heathens when I was there.

Pitt maybe not so much. But Penn State?

“ The Penn State football team averaged 106,707 fans per game in the 2017 season to rank third in the NCAA in attendance. The increase of 6,450 fans per game ranked fifth in the Football Bowl Subdivision “

Trying to be objective, since I hate them, but I am mystified by the love they are getting from Vegas (-7) and everyone else.

- Lost 4 difference makers on D, with 2 drafted in Round 1 and 2 in Round 4 (Gary, Winovich, Bush, forget the 4th)
- Return 5 starters on D
- Installing a new offense
- Shae Patterson is still there
- Jim Harbaugh is still there. He's 1-9 against Top 10 teams at UM
- As mentioned, will be coming off a road game against Penn St while we enjoy a bye
- They suck

Notre Dame will beat Michigan. I'll be there to enjoy it.

Totally agree. Patterson is not that good of a QB and Harbaugh is not an elite coach. Good but not great. Don't get the hype.

He claimed, and replays showed, he was making a greek omega symbol, which was common at the time. No one knows if the official would have called a penalty for that gesture, but officials were pretty quick to call those kind of celebrations back then.

Couple side notes; The unsportsmanlike conduct call was on the 2 point conversion which caused the kickoff to be moved back 15 yards. On Michigan's following drive ND also received a late hit penalty. Both of those big penalties aided Michigan in driving for the winning score. And Bob Davie unnecessarily burned a timeout before the 2 pt conversion, which would have been crucial on that last drive. You just absolutely don't use a timeout on a 2 pt conversion in that circumstance.

tight end when all our tackle was doing was finishing his block on a broken play comes to mind. Also Armando Allen got screwed on a play. We absolutely pushed them all over the field. Second worst in recent history with them was Jarious Jackson game in I believe in 1999, first down near end would have stopped game and given us a chance to beat them there, third worst was 2013, though Tommy Rees losing ball when he was attempting to pass really hurt.

They have some talent but we will beat them this year. Book will shine.

ND played Michigan at home in 2008. The game you refer to was 2009. UM had no answer for Michael Floyd until he had to leave the game with an injury. The Armando Allen call was even reviewed by the booth and still they got it wrong.

Jarious Jackson running out of time while he was driving them for a score was indeed 1999. The irony is the next week against Purdue they ran out of time again. This time right on the goal line.

Finally, the game where Reese dropped the ball with no one near him was 2011. That was the screwiest game I've ever seen. The first night game at the Big House. ND had a commanding lead and just frittered it away. Then they looked like they pulled it out at the end, but left 30 seconds on the clock. Michigan won with the most improbable of plays.
