convincing road win to begin the year. The first drive was a TD within five minutes. New players in new positions. It wasn't a well oiled machine
but certainly not deserving of some pretty rough talk toward players and coaches. Ball security was not good and Book looked rusty. The defense
look shaky the first quarter but allowed 3 points the rest of the way which was awesome. Let's see how well things shake out in two weeks against
the frontal lobe-os.
it isn’t elite. Decent or even good most years seems to be the norm.
It could be a lot worse, but I’m tired of putting lipstick on no more than a serviceable product at best.
To use a meaningless quote, it is what it is and again it could be much worse.
named starter and the play calling, once again, was awful inside a very poorly designed offense. I smell a prime time ass kicking to the hands of Georgia in a few weeks.
If he doesn't elevate his game, dramatically, over the next 2 weeks, Georgia is going to murder the Irish.

My only hope is that Long/Kelly weren't tipping their hand offensively as they knew they could win the game with a very vanilla offense.

If Book "regresses" like some ND QBs under Kelly seem to have, . . I just don't know, Could be a rough ride. Then again, maybe it was a just a bad game. Fingers crossed.

It didn't seem like simply a matter of "too much adrenaline." Hopefully it is a bad game and not a trend. I guess we'll see.
last night's team fair against Georgia?
Louisville is one of the worst teams on the schedule.

They probably are, but you can’t know at this point. With a new coach, you can’t predict based on last year. You will have to wait until at least mid-season.
They COULD conceivably be better than New Mexico, Navy, BC, VaTech and USC. That would put them more in the middle of the pack. It’s too early to make definitive statements.
