Positives:
- Special teams were pretty good. This was a huge concern, and it apears better than expected.
- Hamilton will not throw away his shot. He is legit, and with Gilman, they will cover some of our green LB's learning curve.
- WR is fine - Claypool is the stud we knew he was and Our 3rd receiver looked good (esp Lenzy) even though the QB didn't see them often and threw behind them.
- RB is fine - Smith is fabulous and we have depth.
- OL looked good overall though back up guards whiffed a few times on blitzes
-TE is fine - our back ups are good though for Georgia and Michigan, we will benefit if Kmet is back
Negatives that are not easily correctable:
- LB arm tackling - atrocious tackling imo. - if it wasn't fixed in Spring and Fall camp, will it be done in the next 2 weeks before Georgia?
- Book doesn't appear to be much more of a deep threat than last year- a problem against the big boys.
- 3rd and 2 in red zone while averaging 10ypc, coach calls shotgun snap with RB positioned to side of QB in an attempt to fake out D that he is going to pass block - then hands it to said RB who has no running start (You could also call this bullet point "Freaking Kelly!")
Dropped in the middle of the Caribbean...
I think every one was worried about how they would perform and those worries appear well founded. Hopefully they will figure out which players to move up.
I really do expect to see a lot of team improvement by the time they play Georgia but right now I'm not optimistic it will be enough to pull out a win.

Georgia is going to pick off many of his passes if he continues to do this.
didn't consider it a problem that could not be fixed.

might bring in 25 but that means an upper class is smaller than 21. To get to 40 in the FR class we'd have to have lost about 6 per class (soph, Jr, Sr) and have no 5th yrs.

teams played, so there is no need for excuses......yet. But some warning signs are there.
Having watched Georgia and Clemson, they are both two heads above every other team.
Guess it is all a matter of perspective.
