1) The tentative play of Ian Book..., not seeing or missing open receivers, bolting from the pocket early, tentative deer in the headlights play. If he runs like that all season it will be a miracle if he is not hurt.
2) Inconsistent play by all of the linebackers. Some flashes of potential but lots of bad tackling and missed assignments ...JOK was the exception
3) Inability of the OL to exert their will on an undersized and seemingly out manned Louisville DLine especially in third and short situations
4) Our NG and DT positions had no consistent push and Louisville wasn't even bothering to Double Team them. Okwara and Kareem were certainly not dominant
5) We had almost no down field passing game after Kelly had stated that was to be worked on
Kudos to Hamilton, Keys, Tremble, Gilman (MVP) and Claypool
Than I initially thought as well. Not a good game for Book, but not as bad as first impression.
Tackling technique issues with LB’s very true.

Or did you read the post and ASSume it meant 40 true scholarship Freshmen on the 85 man roster? If so, you need to read more and post less.

Spot on with inability to execute on short yardage. For years I don’t understand shot gun on short yardage. Same predictable formation and same hand off. Defense sells out, loads the box and makes the stop. How about fullback in the I-formation, or two back set? Anything the D hasn’t seen on film. Anything.

I thought White played better than JOK, I missed parts of game though.
