No programs are more overrated, year-in-and-year-out than these. In particular, UCLA's stunk for nearly a quarter-century now, under multiple coaches. They were overrated before that, under Terry Donahue, every year.
Texas probably merits mention here, but for that stretch under Mack Brown.
13, 19, 20. And they lost their gem QB. Very good players, but not elite results. A few injuries, the aforementioned QB bolt, yeah, you can see them losing when you think they shouldn't. But not to the extent they've fallen apart the last few years. It might be Chip's offensive Schlick is done....
You do realize the rest of the country feels the same way about Notre Dame.....
Each of those programs has been ranked many times over those years and they've almost always tanked.
When's the last time UCLA went 12-0? Nebraska's been a trainwreck since Callahan. Florida should've begged Spurrier to come back at some point and give him a golf course.
