Most of the country can enjoy college football as an entertainment. From Columbus south, however, it’s an absolute obsession and for many players a ticket out of poverty. This is why they are creating so much talent. Chilax. For most of us Sunday will still be a beautiful day regardless. ☘️

What are you talking about?
I’ve deleted you since you offer nothing and are simply bitter. Find a new team that you can like.

that people are skipping church for college football games and you are calling me out?
Where the hell do you live that you know so much about people in the south and that they go to church Saturday afternoon?
Please humor me
You're the guy in Michigan right?

It's as big an obsession as I have seen, and i have lived in the south for 20 years
Ironic
Nor do those at State College, or Morgantown. Sheesh.

I hate to break it to you like this; we’re Obsessed too, you included. Hey, enjoy the day.
But population decreases in the Midwest, larger amount of African American's in the south, and abaility to play football year round are the biggest factors.
Do tell?
I am back in Indiana now. The 7 on 7 leagues are a handful of weeks long.
Also, when we recruited the south, it was not uncommon to see QB's and Skill guys working on routes in the winter.
Just something we'd never see in the north. Too cold. Kids gravitate to other things.
Good question, let me know if you have any others. Love talking about the Glory days haha
even in the snow if it's not too deep. Could it be more likely that football players in the North just decide to play basketball in the Winter? Basketball is much bigger up North.
That’s a serious question. If so, why can’t kids do that in the Midwest and Northeast? They play other sports like soccer year round (even outside).
