Did you hear that, Brian?
When will Kelly surrender the play calling reins once and for all?
When things got tense for a while at Louisville, there was Kelly with the play card in his hand. Give me that card, boy, now I'm going to call the plays!
After a first half against Georgia that featured creative and successful play calling, the second half was just the opposite. Any guesses as to who was in charge then?
Chip Long was an exciting, successful playcaller at Memphis. His offense rocked. Kelly refuses to remove the shackles. True RPOs, reverses, jet sweeps, misdirection, downfield passes--Chip didn't forget those; he just isn't allowed to open the playbook like he used to.
This Alabama boy has paid Nick Saban a visit after the last two seasons. If Kelly doesn't wake up, Saban will poach him. All he has to lose is his chains.

Yeah, right! His classic play call with Rees was the fade to Michael Floyd against Tulsa in 2010. Of course, it was intercepted and cost us the game. All he needed to do was to kick a field goal to win the game, but the play calling wizard had to get cute and show us his genius. After the game, when he was grilled about it, he shot back: " Get used to it!". Well, it's 10 years now, and we're still not used to it!
