Supposedly will rival the best and most elaborate.
There's a lesson in there about thinking you'll do better with someone else. If the rumors are true as to why he was removed, you try help first.
Come through that program. Lawrence Phillips, as well. People with serious issues, but incredible athletes. Nobody pushed the Cornhuskers around, even in a loss.
Now, they're being blown off the LOS, and they don't have anywhere near the athletic capacity of a decade ago. It could be in an attempt to clean up the team, they let the beasts go elsewhere...,
Nebraska has stunk ever since.
''This is the best job in the country, and anyone who doesn't want to win the national championship shouldn't bother applying for this job,'' Pederson said at a news conference in Lincoln, Neb. ''I understand we aren't going to win the championship every year, but I believe we should be playing for or gaining on the championship on a consistent basis. I don't feel that currently we are playing for or gaining on the championship.''
''I refuse to let the program gravitate into mediocrity,'' Pederson said. ''We won't surrender the Big 12 to Oklahoma and Texas.''
"The byproduct of excellence in every area of your program is winning, and I don't apologize for having high expectations," Pederson said.
by 42-38. Because of turnovers and stupid penalties. That has been a hallmark of the team since Scott Frost took over. They need to figure out how to play clean and smart, and recruit some real athletes so they can compete. The Mike Riley experiment was a brutal failure. You'd think the athletic director who hired him was a mole from Wisconsin or Miami who wanted to undermine the program or something.... (FYI, former NU AD Scott Eichhorst was a Wisconsin guy who had worked at Miami as well). (And no, I'm not serious about him being a mole...)
