1. The evidence is clear: BK has us out of the Davie/Willingham/Weis hole, but he's not going to win a championship.
2. This season has a good, solid possibility of an 11-1 record, which would further solidify the fact that BK isn't going anywhere (unless the NFL suddenly changes its mind about him).
3. 11-1 might very well not be enough to make the CFP/ Which might not be all bad, if ...
4. It lands us in one of the big bowl games against a non-CFP calibre team.
5. And maybe we win a major bowl for the first time in a ridiculous amount of time.
6. Which would move us a little closer to where we ought to be.
7. And since there isn't an obvious, strong candidate out there who looks like the next championship coach for ND...
8. We live with BK until he's done, and pray he doesn't do any more damage while keeping us in the not-quite-championship tier.
Isn't that where we are? And what we're left to hope for?

We are a top 10, maybe top 5 team this year. Maybe even an outside chance of another playoff birth. And if we continue on into the future with the level of coaching and recruiting we have had these past two years we will get our championships.
But, if Kelly goes back to what he was doing 4 years ago, we're screwed.
