He’s in the transfer portal and could play next year. Absolutely a position of need with the loss of Elliott and the likely loss of Gilman.

Keep in mind, that Urban Meyer was easily one of the best at getting into heads of high school kids. He knew exactly what to say, and how to say it, and could probably have sold snow cones to Eskimos if given the chance.
Back in 2007, he managed to poach one of our most prized commits, Justin Trattou, by convincing him that we weren't going to let him play defensive end, and force him to become a defensive tackle (even though we already have Ian Williams committed). He also promised Trattou that he'd be a starter from day one.
The funny thing is, that when Trattou got to Florida, Meyer made him play defensive tackle his freshman year. I remember chuckling when he had to face Jake Long, who manhandled him like a rag doll.
Barring some freak incident, Kyle Hamilton has one safety spot locked up for next year, and Houston Griffith will probably grab the other spot. Pryor's best chance to get on the field would be as a nickelback.
If they move Griffith back to CB next year, I could see an opportunity opening up at safety for Pryor, though.
Quality depth is a trait of elite teams. And there will always be injuries. If he's available, we jump at the chance to bring him in.
