Before anyone calls me a "Tide Homer" for living in Alabama, I'll have you know that my favorite team (outside of Notre Dame) is the UAB Blazers. No joke.
The timing of the injury will probably turn this whole thing into something much lesser.
They do have to play Arkansas this Saturday (Tua's out), and then the next game is against LSU, but they do have a bye week sandwiched in between those two games. In the meantime, Mac Jones will be just fine as a replacement against a terrible Arkansas squad. If worst comes to worst, Tua's little brother or Bear Bryant's kin (Paul Tyson) haven't crossed the 4 game threshhold yet and can certainly play.
They have the best receiving corp in college football. Between Jeudy, Ruggs, Waddle, and Smith, you have four WR's who would easily be a #1 WR on almost any other team.
Reports state the the surgery went very smoothly. Three weeks should be plenty of time for them to at least patch Tua up to the point where braces and novacaine will get him through a game. Since it's right ankle this time (not the same one he injured last year), it shouldn't be problematic (not his plant foot).
WTF?
Home cooking.
