Wasn't all bad.
The later Weis years were so painful.

Not sure who the d coordinator was ..corwin brown?..in typical fashion ND made them look great then Michigan is found to be mediocre by end of the year...
I seem to remember he had a career day against ND before fizzling out as a football player. But, hey, bobsled!
Michigan actually had a decent quarterback in 2008 in the way of Steven Threet, who was a polished dropback passer. Rich Rodriguez's biggest mistake was trying to turn him into a run-first, spread-option quarterback, which ended up in Threet having multiple concussions, killing off his career.
The second-worst defensive coordinator at ND of all time (I think we can all agree on that, and who the worst of all of them was). He was the primary reason why we lost almost all of those games in 2009, and why we came ever so close to losing a few more.
He had some unholy obsession with jailbreak blitzing every down, and even a subpar quarterback the likes of Forcier was able to look like the second coming of Tim Tebow against us,.
The funny thing is, that the defense actually did a decent job whenever we didn't blitz.
