The ND - Duke game looked about 80% full in a small stadium. Nick Saban cast shade on the Alabama students for not showing up to home games. NFL games have masses of empty seats.
I read that Millennials and Gen Z don't want to do anything for 4-5 hours, like watch a ball game or play golf. (Takes them away from their device addiction.)
Any corroborating evidence or thoughts on the trend?

Of course this may be tickets sold and I don’t know how many show up.
The cost of going to games is too high and as far as FBS is concerned only a relatively few games are worth going to. The TV market is saturated.

The millennial thing is real. Lots of kids aren't even getting their license until they have too.
TV viewing is great now.
People are generally more busy today, personally and professionally.
Cost. It's expensive and per the above, you are competing against other activities.

It’s fookin snowing out there already. Can see why peeps want the sofa with what it costs to freeze yer arse off in November.
Of course my tickets and lodging are free this weekend so there is that.

First level of qualification is you have to stick to the floor when you are in there.

Another pretty good shithole in Sea Isle that I can’t remember right now.
Went there late one night at an ND reunion, for old times' sake...and decided I didn't need to go there ever again.
Really. Love that place.

Simply the grungiest best.
P.S. Honorable mention to Fat Harry’s in New Orleans. The 3 a.m. bar pigs there made the place.
...calling 'em these days...

It was a sellout, but was the stadium full at the beginning before people left early?
