An emphatic win would distance us from those Group of 5 teams and position us to climb back into "New Year's 6" position.
Teams ranked ahead of us that might be in danger of a loss this weekend:
3. Clemson v. Wake Forest? Naaaah...
5. Georgia v. 13. Auburn (A two-loss Georgia would likely stay ahead of us, three-loss Auburn could fall behind us)
7. Minnesota at Iowa. Big trap for the Gophers after a monumental win. Iowa is due after many close losses to ranked teams.
8. Utah at UCLA. Has Chip really righted the ship for the Bruins?
9. Penn State v. Indiana. IU has done a nice job against the weaker teams in the B1G. Could Lions have a Gopher hangover?
10. Oklahome v. 12. Baylor. Either loser could fall behind us.
14. Michigan v. Michigan State. Can "little brother" play some offense?
With two head-to-head match-ups, there is a good chance to move up a couple spots so long as Georgia beats Auburn. But it's college football .. who knows what might happen?

They eat up so much clock and then usually score. Hope we win the toss, get up on them, and make them play from behind.
Now, BC is capable of grinding you down with Dillon, but it is a far more conventional O that we can hope to sometimes stop, with run blitzes if it comes to that. And their secondary is very banged up - one starter gone for the year now - so our scoring chances with them are solid.
It will be a tricky two weeks unfortunately. Win both of these and it will be time for a really fun beat-down of Stanford.
