I think the return of Kmet & Eichenberg means that our offense will only lose WRs for the 2020 season. With the progression of Lenzy and Keys, the return of Austin, and the arrival of players like Jordan Johnson, I'd tend to think the offense will be fine. The defense seems to be losing a lot of players (7 starters by my count). We definitely have depth there (a real change from the 2012 version of ND), but I have concerns how the D will perform next year without Kareem, Jones and Okwara creating pressure from upfront. Assuming Daelin Hayes and crew can get pressure on the other team's QB, the 2020 team will rise and fall on one thing--the QB.
Is Ian Book a QB would can lead us to a new neighborhood--tier 1/championship caliber? I tend to think he's a nice QB and was great as a change-up when opposing teams didn't plan for him, but kind of like Kelly Bryant at Clemson has a relatively low ceiling. If so, the next question is whether Jurko has a higher ceiling; if yes, time to get him some play to test if he has the mettle to lead ND to that new neighborhood.
butt we have some talent so its next man up. The young d lineman have seemed to shine and then go backwards as they age so maybe we get a crazy group of young ends that get to the qb
much horsepower and tuning a racecar might have, if you don't drive over 75mph then you're never going to win a race with cars going 200 mph. BK is our problem, his bland predictable conservative crap offenses are choking all our kid's potentials. Until he's gone, it will be the same ol shit different year.
Go Irish.
