He hasn't graduated so he'd have to sit the entire year out. He's already redshirted so he would only get to play 3 years instead of 4 if he stays. Also Book is gone after next year and if he is going to be running more there's a good chance he gets hurt.

viewed as what it is or we will start actually developing QBs. Right now, it's another wasted scholarship. I know that sounds bad, but it's the truth. It's what reality is showing.
If he sits behind Book next year, he still has two years of eligibility. If he transfers, he has to sit out a year and still has two years of eligibility. Might as well stay and try to dethrone Book.
If so, why burn your junior season sitting behind Book.

That might be the only way we get rid of Kelly is when all of a sudden players start to transfer and they finally realize it is because of him!

mostly due to the transfer portal. For a few players it could be about playing time.
Family situations can arise or they're just not happy at their current school etc..
