Maybe he and Kelly share the same agent?
Also, Kelly going to FSU isn't as far fetched as some might think but Book going to OK?
No chance in hell. He has a hard time throwing the ball downfield. I'm pretty sure that being able to connect w/ your receivers more than 20 yards downfield is a prerequisite in Riley's offense.
FSU has major money(including facilities issues) problems which were a major reason why Jimbo left and a huge reason why no one is leaping at the job which you would think would be very attractive. Allegedly, both Stoops, Matt Rhule, Matt Campbell and James Franklin have already turned FSU down.
Kelly has spent a chunk of his time at ND getting more money into the overall football budget. Rather than spending 5 more years battling those issues again, he's looking for a few more calm years at ND with an AD who is all in with him and then shuffle off to a cushy analyst job.
It is unfortunate to say but Book is a better qb than Kelly is a head coach.

if it happens where does he get that nonsense?First of all, its my recollection that every ND QB that did grad transfer, was losing his job if he returned to ND.. Book is firmly entrenched as NDs starting QB next season..Also, there is probably a better chance of Lincoln Riley coaching the Dallas Cowboys next season, than there is of Book transferring..I see no advantage to Ian of such a transfer..
Sorry for the political reference, it was just too juicy not to post.

To play for Oklahoma and he has no hope for the NFL

It could be argued that Book would be surrounded by better offensive talent.
He may have a higher NFL profile with the Sooners.
He may feel Kelly has thrown him under the bus once too often,
I think he wants one more year at ND.
But who would blame him if he left?
