I think a 10 win season is really commendable, but there was a certain lack of storyline/lack of signature event/lack of something in this season. Even the way Kelly talked about "doing your job" in his pep talks seemed so business-like and not the rah rah that really distinguishes college sports. Said differently, it never really looked like the 18-22 year olds were actually having a ton of fun out there; it looked like they were executing their jobs.

Team could have folded after that bizarre Michigan game, but came back to run the table in spite of the fake fans who never missed a chance to say how much they and their coaches sucked.

So that type of negative "excitement" has exited. However, we also rarely beat teams to which we are underdogs. That limits the good type of excitement.
10 wins is fine but we had 2 tough games this year. We lost them both.
