Crap...but not surprising.
Don't shoot the messenger.....

Kudos to Claypool and Kareem for going all out in their last game before the draft. Kmet played like he didn't want to be out there. That said, I don't really blame him. If he sits he gets criticized. If he plays, he could get hurt and cost himself millions.
Takes a real piece of work to knock a great player for being injured.
Dropped a pass and asked not to go back in. Takes a real piece of work to not know your facts.
He missed last game of season, then missed 3 weeks of practice and was seen still limping through practice the week before the bowl but tried to go and couldn't...no carries & one incomplete pass, for our best RB of the last decade..yeah he played!
Here's a fact for ya: you are a true POS for trying to dog one of the best players we've had in years because he was injured.
Also, I'm not dogging him. He was medically cleared to play, suited up and then decided after his first series in that he didn't want to risk another injury before the draft. That's his choice. Just as I said about Kmet, I don't blame him. He was in a tough spot. He knew he was going pro and didn't want to get hurt in a bowl game.
I suspect he will still get his degree. And... we should use this example to recruit kids who have big dreams but are smart enough to hedge their bet.

hurt a little bit. Actually I noticed the same protective reaction on an earlier play to him too. I wish him the best of luck but I think when you play not to get hurt that is when you get hurt. Kareem banged up but he will recover from bruise kudos to him for playing all out. I knew Claypool would play all out, that is his style.

Best of luck to him.

Rees in 2014. He definitely left too early though.
Kmet will be the #1 rated TE in the draft.

guys like Kmet for at least 3 years instead of 1.
and played in every game where he wasn't injured as a Sophmore and Junior. What else do you want?
his SOPH yr. he played in 11 games with only 15 catches again very low for a dude with his skill set and size. I was incorrect in saying he did not play. I should have said he was not utilized, which he wasn't until his JR yr - 11 games, 45 catches. Point being a monster like him should have been targeted a lot. I'm not sure the targets but I'm sure it's available somewhere and I'm guess it was low years 1 & 2 because he didn't seem to have a problem catching or getting open.

I think he played through some injuries.
He's going to make some NFL team very happy.
Right now, he's projected as a 2nd round pick. Maybe a really nice combine showing can give him a bit of a boost.

he landed awkwardly. I wonder if this played a role in his decision to enter the draft
(if he is going). I posted this at the time it happened. I wish the best of luck to him.
The chicago bears sure could use him.
