Odds it gets scratched over COVID-19? I think they're growing, unless there's a sharp reversal over next 3 months in spread, or a vaccine, etc. Which is awful, I was going to go. I also think everything is overblown when data suggests this virus is less fatal than the flu...
of the Chinese population having the virus = .00000194 of ONE PERCENT. Numbers appear to be ebbing. I'm a little perplexed why this is being hailed by the media, and perhaps China itself, as a pandemic.
Mainstream media's two purposes are to 1) create mass hysteria whenever possible and 2) make sure everyone knows what the world's greatest natural resource, the celebrity, is up to day to day.
I can only imagine the panic that would ensue if a celebrity contracted the coronavirus. God help us all if that happens.

there is more to the story that is not being released.
There are a number of conspiracy theories floating around:
1.) This is a bio-weapon that got released accidentally.
2.) It seems more lethal for men than women, so perhaps this was an engineered virus released on purpose to bring the male/female ratio in China back in-line.
Of course I’m not aware of any evidence supporting either of these theories, but something seems amiss with the response based upon the information reported.
There are strong reports by WHO and CDC who have been in China that they are under-reporting what is actually going on.
That said, the speed in which the disease is spreading is a bit scary even if the media does seem to blowing this up. Corona does seem to be nastier than the strains prevalent in the US. In general, any flu can be nasty with maybe 31M Americans having the flu this year with 300,000 hospitalized.
On the whole, I'd rather the CDC be over blowing the threat than the opposite. It can take up to a year even on a fast track to get a vaccine up and running. We probably need to see what is going on in places like South Korea, Italy and Iran before running around like chicken littles. Personally, I just ordered some face masks on Amazon.
