Kmet ran 4.65 - 40
Claypool did 19 reps
Finke did 7 reps
I was a little worried when I saw his weight listed at 238, but then he ran a 4.42. At 6'4 238, he could play move TE, but why? He's already got film showing him as an excellent WR. Even in a crowded and talented WR class, that will wake some people up. Add in a 40 in vertical and good bench score for a WR and he's a matchup monster.
Happy for him. That’s the 4th fastest 40 by a WR since 2006. He just made some coin.
Our S&C crew all deserve raises.
Edit 2: Another tidbit, from the NFL twitter feed....
Only two wideouts to measure 6’4” & 235 pounds or bigger have run a sub-4.45 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine since 2003:
One is known as “Megatron” (Calvin Johnson). The other?
Notre Dame’s Chase Claypool at the 2020 Combine.

But then we already knew what a beast he is.
He doesn't appear to have the same all around skillset, but dang
Some team will over-pay for the measurable. Several always do.

it was the smart thing to do. Best tight end since Rudolph, and that is saying something.
