Mine is that a complete season will be played without fans. The TV money is still there.
Each school will need to decide how to accommodate this and keep students relatively safe.
As for ND, the Navy game will be canceled or hopefully moved to Oct 24 at Annapolis assuming Navy can change their game date with Houston. Opener will be Sept 12 vs Arkansas. Practices will be later than normal For ND since the season start will be set back 2 weeks. There may be fewer days of practice too.
I would be surprised if seating capacities were not reduced by at least half. 35,000 for ND home games would not be surprising. There will be no games played without fans. Reduced revenues but still plenty of TV money.

Covid is a joke in many states. Colleges at the end of the day and thier PC, need the revenue. Quote me on this.

Many cities/towns across the country are going to start SLOWLY reopening public venues such as restaurants, retail stores, gyms, etc. beginning in the next 2 weeks. If everything goes smoothly, fall sports have a great chance at proceeding. If the reopenings are a disaster & there is a spike in COVID-19 cases, forget it.
I originally had the same guess as Knute below, but there will be far too many states that will still be holding out on hosting large gatherings/events without a vaccine that we won't have full commitment from the entire N.C.A.A. in time to put together a logistical plan for 2nd semester.

Oh that's right, mass hysteria, overreaction, and mass misunderstanding.
That would by 2.2 million today.
They didn’t figure it out so much as went about their lives. I don’t think people were quite as frightened of (or were at least more resigned to) their own mortality at that time.

there are some who are willing to die in order to have the opportunity to sit in a packed stadium and watch a college football game. Not that there are many, but we know with almost certainty that there are enough to fill a stadium and that 25 % of them who are healthy ( and likely drunk) are carrying and passing the virus to others. What % of those think they are immune and that the Covid-19 virus is a hoax or the seriousness of the symptoms is inflated....until they are in an ICU bed on a ventilator. And there was no holocaust or moon landing. I sure wish there was a vaccine for stupid.

Which means the SEC will look pretty “normal”—no games in Michigan until after the election. I’m being hyperbolic, but I agree with Swarbrick that there will be a splintering. I just expect it to be politicized.
my guess. And it comes down fro the NCAA.
I also expect other schools to use the "conference games only "' BS specifically against ND heavily.
People have lost their minds.
And the worst states from a dictator standpoint will not be signing off on the mingling of those people in an official capacity by fall.

After much thought and in spite of my own and the desires of most of us, I cannot see how there can be any football on campus until there is a vaccine available to all students or at the very minimum, weekly testing of all students. The former is desirable, but in all likelihood, the latter may be acceptable by popular opinion...though highly risky. The huge question to me, is if there is liability for those making the decision to take that risk. Lawyers will have a field day on both sides, but I would love to hear some legal opinions.
