That.
First, I hate to see anyone have to do battle with a deadly disease, and hope he is only lightly infected. This game is not really important for them anyway and would serve them well to integrate their future QB into a big game or two. Secondly, they would be stupid to hurry TL back on the field and risk what is really at stake. Thirdly, every team faces some hurdles and this is truly a low one for them on their march to a pretty easy national title if they play it smart. There is no need for them to take a huge risk or cheat.
It may make the Irish perk up and fire up to play Clemson at home, but a loss to a back-up will take a lot of air out of the tires for the season. I would love to see them take the "lunch pail" approach to the game and every man do his job for 60 min. and see who is ahead when it is over. Worked in Norman and can work against the Tigers. Don't get hyped...just get focused and determined to take every blow....get up...and give it back. And eliminate the freaking blunders!!! That wins a lot of games regardless of how good your opponent is.

...to sit out rest of season for health reasons. Unlikely, but not out of question. I certainly wouldnt mind it if we beat Clemson with the backup, keep getting better all season, and meet Sunny in the ACC championship game - if we beat them (while undefeated) with him in the second go around, that would almost certainly knock Clemson out of the playoffs altogether!
affecting the game even being played...It seems like first we hear a player testing positive, then we hear more players on same team, see Florida, Wisconsn Apparently Wisconsin is reporting three more positive tests tonight..Next , game cancellations follow, we just heard of Wisky-Nebraska cancellation today..

In South Korea, more than 160 people tested positive again after they had recovered from COVID-19. In China, 5%-10% of people tested positive again after they'd recovered, according to news reports. It's not clear whether:
These people got infected again
The virus reactivated in their bodies after being quiet for a while, or
The test results were flawed
I wont dismiss out of hand, any ray of hope..
This will cheapen next weeks victory if he doesn’t play at ND.

ACC ain't the B1G, though. He could be back for the ND game.

Sure, he looks 38, but he plays like he's 18.
