If he becomes the starter I'd definitely run read/option. He's fast but not all fast players are quick. He is. He broke more than one ankle in his highlights. Arm motion reminds me of Phillip Rivers.

There is a reason he was considered a top QB prospect. My concern with him in terms of potentially starting as a freshman comes down to this: his SR season was canceled, and he hasn't played football since his JR year. It is asking a lot of a kid to come in and start at a national power from day one. Even if he gets a spring to practice. Long term, I think he has a chance to be great. But I really like Pyne too, and I don't think people consider him much. I guess we'll see what happens. I like that Fisher and Spindler are going to be in the mix up front for years to come. That's going to help whoever plays QB in the future. Monsters. Maulers.

We’ll see how it plays out.

...Trevor Lawrence is a once in a lifetime talent.
That being said, with a spring practice season, as well as a summer of conditioning, I think he can be ready to step in sooner rather than later.
He didn't debut as starter until during the season, albeit fairly early in the season.
I wish Kelly/Rees would do something similar if Buchner is as good as we hope. I know that would go against their tendency, and coming out of HS Lawrence was judged by many to be the greatest HS QB of all time, which Buchner is not. But still, a lot of true freshmen have started in FBS over the last several years.
