We've seen this before. There are many similarities:
- Great (but immobile) QB
- Great RB
- Great WRs
- Very good defense
- Great coaching
Alabama has an edge over Clemson on the O-Line but, that is it. Clemson is better than Bama in certain areas though. Like Harris, Etienne is both a running and receiving threat. DJ was able to go off on us and rack up tons of yards and get some explosive plays. Yet, we were able to beat them. In fact, outplay them.
Our defense is very good and was able to hold Clemson to 33 and 34 points (even with a subpar performance in game 2). Clemson averaged over 46 points per game. We held UNC to 17 points and they averaged over 47 points per game. Bama is averaging 49+. We have the ability to make them one-dimensional. In fact, I think we will.
Clemson 2 was a wake up call for ND and I don't see us repeating it. Our players will be focused and fired up. Lea won't have us under prepared this time. And Rees/Book learned their lesson and will be more aggressive.
Irish win this one in a close game. We run out the clock in the final series just like we have several times this season.
Go Irish!
some key breakdowns. If we don't have to account for the QB runs, we should be much more effective in our defensive schemes against the run. Now, that doesn't mean we will win, but it can mean that the game will be close through the 4th quarter, which is all you can ask for.

But every running attack can be contained. We will see.

Has nothing to do with our D making them ons dimensional and slowing them down.
Our O-Line is a separate topic.
