Since Texas brought him on as head coach, you'd have to think their AD at least vetted him in that capacity. Has he been sober for a long enough period and during his treatment, and did he identify the triggers for what brought about his addiction? I'd want to have some sort of plan in place with him to be aware of what his triggers were initially so that he could get the assistance necessary again if needed. It's unfair to speculate but I wonder if the stress of being a head coach had something to do with it.
